Zoom OAuth Integration Documentation

What is this?

Wise provides teachers & online teaching businesses to conduct their online classes, share content and conduct exams. For the live classes, Wise provides an ability to conduct your sessions on Zoom. Wise lets you start meetings on behalf of teachers & securely let students join the meetings. Wise also lets teachers record their meetings and makes the recordings available in the classrooms for students to consume it at later point in time. Wise also provides an ability to link your Zoom pro or business account and manage your meetings, recordings, etc. within your own Zoom account.

How it works?

Linking

  • Through the profile section on Wise web application, you can start the linking process

  • Wise will redirect you to Zoom where you can securely log into your master Zoom pro/business account

  • Zoom will present you an approval screen where you can see details about the Wise, Wise OAuth app, the permissions being requested, etc.

  • Wise requests for below permissions:

    • Read & write access to user accounts: To manage Zoom users for your teachers effectively, update the permissions, assign right license type, etc.

    • Read & write access to meetings: To start meetings for the teachers & fetch details of the past meetings

    • Read & write access to recordings: To securely fetch recordings of the meetings recorded by the teachers to make it available in classrooms & to delete recordings when in need to free up the space for future sessions

    • Read access as admin: To fetch details about number of users, available number of licenses and available recording storage, etc.

  • On this screen, you would get an option to “Authorize”, “Accept” or “Allow”. Approve the request.

  • Upon approving, Wise will be able to manage your Zoom account for you.

Unlinking

  • For unlinking, you can reach out to us at info@wiseapp.live with the details of your Wise account

  • Upon confirmation, Wise will revoke the app access & delete the OAuth credentials received from Zoom

  • Upon completing unlinking process, Wise will not be able to manage your account
